Welcome Raven Photographer
"Photography is a medium of formidable contradictions. It is both ridiculously easy and almost impossibly difficult." - Edward Steichen.
We all take pictures! I remember my very first experiences shooting images at a summer camp as a kid (with film) and getting them back later and seeing that simply they weren't very good. I didn't know anything about light, exposure, composition or how to make it work.
Today we have limitless opportunities to make images but still have to ask "are they any good?" Is it enough to get 50 likes and then forget that people hit "like" to let you know they saw the picture? Would you spend money printing and framing the image? Would you put it in a competition with other students and see how it looked next to their work?
CCA's program starts students off with REAL cameras. We provide student's with DSLR and Mirrorless cameras to make high resolution images with real control. We learn the deep stuff about how the camera works, what makes an image better than just a snapshot, and we learn art right along side it.
The program is designed to take the student from Zero to Hero in photography, we start slow and build up each assignment with more challenges and have the time for all students to succeed in becoming better artists and better "seers" of the world around them.
