Meet the Coaches

Mark Hoffman (Head Coach/Sprints)

Coach Hoffman (Tosa East Class of '83) is in his 32nd year teaching mathematics and coaching, all of them at South Milwaukee.  Coach Hoffman is also an assistant on the football team and teaches summer school strength and fitness classes. He is USATF Level 1 certified and was selected to participate in the USATF Emerging Elite Coaching School at the USOC Training Center in Chula Vista, CA in 2011.  He is a Past President, Clinic Co-Chair and Treasurer for the Wisconsin Track Coaches Association.  Coach Hoffman attended UWM where he earned a bachelors degree in Marketing and Marquette University where he earned his secondary mathematics certification.

Andrew Strasser (Distances)

Peter Dufek (Throws)  Coach Dufek (Milwaukee Tech class of '83) is in his 6th year as the throws coach.  After competing four years of throwing both shot and discus in high school, Coach Dufek went on to the University of Wisconsin Stout where he played football. Coach Dufek is the head varsity football coach and a physical education teacher at South Milwaukee High School.
