Parent Resources

The District has a Tech Hub with various resources that can be used by parent and guardian. Please take a few moments to check out this relevant site. There is also a Parent/Student site with information on logins, how -to, tech expectations and much more!

The Common Sense Media site has a plethora of resources available to parents. I use the scope and sequence curriculum for Internet Search Skills, CyberSafety, Digital Footprints, and much more. Common Sense Media also best for learning list for learning at all age levels. Have a question or digital dilemma? Need to keep up with the never-ending stream of new social apps? Want to find out how to turn on "safe search" or "adblock" in Chrome, Firefox or Safari?

Another good parent resource is Netsmartz. Have your tween take the NSTeens Challenge. The NSTeens Challenge is an interactive quiz best used with students in grades 5-8. Students will watch 5 animated videos, each illustrating a different Internet safety concept. After each video they will complete an activity that tests their understanding of the topic.

Please let me know if you have any questions!
