Welcome back to the 2026-27 School Year!

Music Class:

3rd, 4th and 5th Graders will be playing recorders in music class this year!  Information will be coming home if you need to purchase a recorder.

All School Music Performances:

Pleasant Lane-Friday, February 12, 2027              Grades K-2 from 10:00-10:30 AM, Grades 3-5 from 10:45-11:30 AM

Park View-Tuesday, February 9, 2027 (Times to be determined but during school day)

4th and 5th Grade Chorus:

Pleasant Lane Chorus meets one morning each week (Mondays) from 7:45-8:30 AM in the music room starting Monday, Sept 21, 2026

Park View Chorus meets one morning each week (Tuesdays) from 7:45-8:30 AM in the music room starting on Tuesday, Sept 22, 2026

D44 Pancake Breakfast-Saturday, April 10, 2027 Glenn Westlake Middle School 7:30AM-noon, we will perform at this event, but students do not need to be there the whole time, performance time, TBA

D44 Chorus Festival-Thursday, April 30, 2027 at Glenbard East High School in Biester Auditorium at 7:00 PM

A little bit about me...

2026-27 marks my 28th year of teaching!  

I received my Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, and my Masters of Music Education from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago.

I love spending time with my family: my husband Jon and two daughters-Sarah (Sophomore at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, studying violin performance) and Emily (Junior in High School).  We also have two cats: Bo Peep and Pizzicato. In my free time, I play in the viola section of the Elmhurst Symphony Orchestra and in a string quartet-Celestial Strings.   In the evenings and weekends, I am usually at a music event or tennis match.
