Digital Image Resources

Just like information, it is important you cite the images you use in a project. Images are protected by copyright law you can't use just any image.

The images on the pages below are available to use under creative commons. To learn more about creative commons watch the video below!

Places to find Images for projects!

    • Use our school databases first:

      • World Book, Gale, Discovery Education, and netTrekker

      • passwords must log in to district 44 email to view.

      • Worldbook: click 'media' to search images

      • Gale: After searching click 'images' in the box to the right

      • Discovery Education: After searching click 'images' at top

        • netTrekker: Click 'image' button to search. Use EasyBib to cite images found on netTrekker

  • Try Creative Commons next.

    • use "copy credit as HTML" to cite

    • Use Google last, remember Google is not a source.

      • Be sure to visit the website to get the correct URL to cite your image.

      • Use EasyBib to cite images found using Google.

If you visit Google Images on your own make sure usage rights is set to labeled for reuse. (Watch the video for how to set usage rights!)
