Vision Statement

Strongsville City School District’s school counselors will prepare, inspire and empower all students to be lifelong learners and socially responsible citizens who are able to communicate and meet the challenges of global society. We are confident that with the combined support of counselors, school staff, administrators, parents and community members, students can reach their full potential.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Strongsville City Schools’ school counseling program is to ensure that all students reach their fullest potential. Through participation in the comprehensive program, all students will develop essential academic, career and social/emotional skills that promote a passion for learning and the capacity to overcome real-world challenges to be successful leaders. School counselors partner with other educators and stakeholders to advocate for equity, access, and success for all.

Our Beliefs

• All students can be successful and productive members society.

• Every student is valuable and is treated with dignity and respect.

• The school counselor will collaborate with families, stakeholders and community resources to meet student needs and assist student development.

• The school counselor will use data to design, implement, evaluate and continuously improve the comprehensive school counseling program.
