My name is Hansi Fox and this is my sixteenth year teaching at St. Croix Falls Elementary.
I have always taught first grade, but this year, I will be teaching a split 1st/2nd grade classroom!
I am married to Nicholas Fox who works for Polk County Department of Corrections. We live in Eureka and enjoy fishing, four wheeling, being outside and the peace of country living!
We have two cats, Serance and Gerald, and two pups, Maci (black) and Hank (brown)!
I am a mom to twin 2nd grade boys, Jaxon and Mason. They keep life very busy and interesting! It is fun to watch them grow and learn about the world around them. They are excited about being in 3rd grade this year!
I grew up on a dairy/beef/crop farm north of St. Croix Falls, in Eureka, and was an "Elementary Saint" myself! I attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls and earned my degree in Elementary Education with a Communicative Disorders minor, in winter 2007. I began my dream of teaching at St. Croix Falls in the 2008-2009 school year.
I love first grade because the children academically and physically grow so much within their first grade year - it's AMAZING! From learning how to write their name to losing teeth ... I love all of the day-to-day excitement and being a big part in nurturing their brains while they are so willing to learn!
I am just as excited to challenge myself by teaching 2nd graders this year, as well! We will do lots of writing and grow in our written skills, as well as our reading skills! We will research and edit many written pieces. I am excited to see the leadership these awesome kids possess and the helpful traits they will demonstrate in our classroom!
Sit back and enjoy the amazing learning process that your child is about to embark on! :)
