Football/Student Assistant Athlete Scholarship Eligibility

Each season the Touchdown Club allocates $5,000.00 toward the scholarship program. The $5,000 will be equally divided by the graduating seniors of the football team and student assistants. In order to be eligible for the scholarship, the following must be met by each senior football player and/or student assistant under consideration:

• All senior football players and student assistants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 as evidence by their official school transcript or the head varsity football coach.

• All senior football players and student assistants must have completed all of the required fundraising every year they were in the program and also be in good standing with their fundraising by the end of their senior year’s football season.

• A minimum of six (6) hours of community service for every year the player and/or student assistant was in the program is required. A minimum of twenty-four (24) hours must be completed by March of the senior year for the 2024-2025 graduating class. Due to Covid-19 limitations, six hours has been waived for the following graduating classes only, meaning a minimum of 18 hours are required for these players/student assistants:

• Each player and/or student assistant has been provided with a Community Service Hours form. This form is to be signed off on by the organization where community service hours were completed. The community service hours cannot be signed off by neighbors or family member, in or outside of their home. Additionally, all community service hours must be done through a legitimate organization. Additional forms are available upon request – just ask any TDC board member or the Head Coach.

• Lastly each player and/or student assistant will be required to write an essay on a topic that will be decided on by the Executive Board and Head Coach and communicated by the end of the season.

• All required paperwork must be handed in by March 31^st of the graduating year. Emails of essay topic when determined and deadline reminders will be communicated through Team Snap.
