Kindergarten Full Day Schedule 2018-19 Mrs. Murdough
8:00 - arrival into school
8:00 to 8:20- eat breakfast in cafe if desired
8:30 last bell
8:30 - "calendar” to include: weather etc. and Scott Foresman activities, “talk with me chart” “sing with me chart” story (big book) and “word work”
8:45- 10:00 - "reading groups”/Scott Foresman Reading Series: to include: papers based on reading series ,reading booklets for reading and pre-reading skills, phonemic awareness and letter introduction ( 1 group teacher, 1 group para, 2 groups at centers: rotate )
10:00 -outside recess
10:15- "Everyday Math” math skills to include: counting, graphing, printing numbers, addition, sorting, subtraction, exploring number sense
11:00 -recess
11:20 - lunch
11:45 - inside choice time
12:20– 1:00 “work time” students complete a variety of paper and pencil tasks including handwriting practice, reading practice, math review, letter practice, scholastic magazines and/ or iPad work.
1:00 -“craft time” a daily craft project based on a reading or seasonal theme
1:20- journal time ( pre-writing and writing skills based on student topic of choice )
snack time
2:05- Pack up for 2:15 dismissal to parents or to day
