Welcome to the Chamberlain Family Connection site! This site will be updated to keep our families informed about the wonderful things happening at our school as well as provide helpful information!

The new Family Connection site has changed. On the top right of the page is more links that you can access. The information below is various activities or noteworthy events we want to highlight for the 2019-20 school year.

Chamberlain is jumping forward into the Social Media world and we have created a Facebook page. This page is another way we are trying to connect with our community and publish information so we are all on the same page.

I want to thank all of the staff, parents, and adults of our community who donated gifts for some of our students who would not have received anything this Christmas. Your generosity and great kindness makes this an incredible community. I can't thank you enough. Happy Holidays!

I want to congratulate all the students who were recognized as the December students of the month. We are super proud of them.

Veteran's Ceremony with students shaking hands with the Veterans

November 17, 2019

The weather has definitely changed and it’s most certainly gotten colder, but we were able to host the Veteran’s for a breakfast and then celebrate their service to our country in our simple way. To recognize the Veterans was special, but listening to the Chamberlain Chorus singing a wonderful patriotic song made most of us have tears well up in our eyes. Mrs. Palmer did a terrific job of preparing the students and they sang a beautiful and meaningful song. We wrapped up the ceremony by having the students go down the line and shake the Veteran’s hand and thanking them for their service. It’s such an awesome sight with all the students shaking the hands of the Veterans. It truly is one of the best things we do each year. Thank you Veterans for your service!!!

It’s also that time of year to give thanks for the things we have and to look forward to spending time with our family over Thanksgiving Dinner. We are, again, accepting food donations to help create full dinner gift baskets for families who are in need of some assistance. Last year, we were able to donate 28 baskets to families and they were extremely thankful for our help, thus giving them the opportunity to have their family sit together to eat a good meal for Thanksgiving. We have a table in the front lobby with more information and Mrs. Simpson and Mrs. Ferro are leading the drive for our school. So, you can contact them if you would like to help in any way or just drop off any donations to the front office. We greatly appreciate your very kind generosity.

Dear Chamberlain Families:

We hope you had a wonderful summer. We would like to take this opportunity to welcome new and returning students, and their families, to Chamberlain Street Elementary School. We are excited about starting the new school year and look forward to working together to fulfill our vision of making Chamberlain the best learning environment. We want to help the students learn and grow to their maximum potential. We strive for the best social/emotional atmosphere to allow the students to become positive and productive citizens in our community.

We did have a big change in our administrative team this summer. Our assistant principal, Ms. Howard, became the new Principal at School Street School. She did an incredible job here at Chamberlain and she will be missed, but we wish her the very best in her new position. To replace Ms. Howard, we were very fortunate to have a candidate who is from Chamberlain. Our new assistant principal is Mrs. Chris Turgeon. She has been a special education teacher here for the past 11 years and she is highly respected. I am very confident she will continue to do great things in her new role.

I would like to introduce our new staff members this year. We have Ms. Hatch as our new 1st Grade teacher, Mr. Combatti as our new 3rd Grade teacher, Ms. Osborne as our other new 3rd Grade Teacher, Ms. McCormack as the 5th Grade Teacher, and Mrs. DeGard as a new Special Education Teacher. We also have new Para Professionals and they are Mrs. Cormier, Mr. Altura, and Mrs. Bellow. We are excited about the new staff members and know they will be positive additions to the building and the community.

It is our desire to create a powerful partnership between families, staff, and community to work in the best interests of the students. The goal is to create a safe, positive, and productive school environment that allows students and their families to focus their energies for optimal learning. This will ensure they grow academically and socially. A successful educational program is one that fosters a positive relationship between each family and the school. We encourage open dialogue with parents to answer questions or concerns that may arise. We also invite each parent to visit our school so that they can become more familiar with our building and the things we are trying to accomplish.
