Hello, and welcome!

For the 2025-2026 year, I'm excited to share our time in the courses Film Studies, U.S. Literature, and AP Literature.

The foundation of a successful class together depends on open communication, organization, and honesty. We have a lot to learn this year, and we'll do it together. I hold the expectation that you will do your best so that I can support your unique needs in school.

The following websites are the best tools for success in my class. Here's where you'll find what you need:

Google Classroom: (our primary source of everyday work) handouts, assignments, due dates, calendar of assignments and classwork, feedback on graded work. Work will be arranged by unit for all courses, and our weekly agenda with hyperlinked materials (when available) will always be provided at the top of the assignment stream and under the Classwork tab. Codes will be given in class. Please be aware that Google Classroom access is exclusively for students; parents/guardians will be asked to refrain from joining or removed if joined. If you need more ways to support your student, please reach out to me and your student's school counselor for assistance.

PowerSchool: final grades, flagged missing work. Please know that this is the official location of all grades. Any scores listed on Google Classroom are for reference, and not for grade calculation.

This class website: general documents such as your syllabus (*extra* important for my elective courses), materials lists, my schedule, contact and information.

If you're looking for something, please check ALL of these resources first. Still need something, or have a question that is specific to you? Email me! I'll get back to you in 24 hours, or by Monday if sent after 2:30 pm on Friday.
