Mrs. Jenkins
Mrs. Jenkins has been a school counselor with the Newfound Area School District for 26 years.
Before joining us at NMMS, she worked at Bristol Elementary School & Newfound Regional High School.
Mrs. Jenkins is also the coach of the Unified Basketball Team & works at the Project Promise Afterschool Program.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family & two adorable dogs, Oliver & Ruth.
NMMS Student Support
A school counselor works to maximize student success by promoting access & equity for all students.
School counselors help students apply academic achievement strategies, manage emotions, & apply interpersonal skills.
Individual Support
Mrs. Jenkins is available to meet with students individually to provide academic, emotional, &/or social support.
In addition, she can assist students & families in obtaining other resources that they may need or want to promote holistic wellness.

Lunch Groups
Mrs. Jenkins provides various small group sessions during lunchtime as they relate to social and emotional learning experiences for your middle school student.
These lunch groups help foster relationship skills, promote positive social skills, develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and provide students with a safe environment to engage with one another.
Working Papers for Minors
How do youths 12-15 years old obtain a New Hampshire Youth Employment Certificate?
First, they find a job.
The employer then completes the Employer's Request for Child Labor form.
The youth takes the completed Employer's Request for Child Labor form to their local school
or
the superintendent's office.
The school/superintendent's office then issues the New Hampshire Youth Employment Certificate (RSA 276-A:5).
*Parents may also obtain a youth certificate for their child by calling the Department of Labor at 603-271-3176.Finally, the youth takes the certificate issued from the school/superintendent's office back to the employer.
