Information and Updates
Parents please keep all contact information up to date throughout the school year. This year it is especially important for me to be able to get a hold of a parent/guardian if the need arises.
Parents if you have a student who is going into Kindergarten or 4th grade please make sure that the school has an updated Immunization and Physical on file. I will be in contact with you if you are missing either of these items.
Students should come to school with a fresh, clean mask daily, they should also have a spare mask in their backpacks, for any issues that may arise with their first mask. Students should have a at least 5 masks, one for each day of the week.
We are asking that all parents/guardian's monitor their child's health prior to the start of the school day. Temperatures and an assessment of how your child is feeling should be taken prior to the child leaving the house.
We are asking that your child stay home even if they are feeling mildly ill. Students with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher or with two or more Covid-19 symptoms should not come to school.
If your child is staying home from school, please call the school to report your child as absent, you will be asked what symptoms your child is experiencing and the school nurse will guide you as to what steps to take next.
For those that are remote learning please email me if your child becomes ill and is unable to do their work at home. I would like to continue to keep track of what illnesses are going around our community. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's health or if you just want to check in and say hi please feel free to do so, by email or calling the school.
Students will be allowed back to school when a doctor appointment has been made and the student has either been given an alternative diagnosis, or has been tested for Covid-19 and the results are back and negative. If you choose to not take your child to the doctors office, they will need to quarantine for 10 days and be symptom free before returning to school.
Above is a flow chart to help with when a student may return to school .
