Karen Milone
This is my second year with Sanborn. I have been working in schools for the last 18 years, predominantly working with special education students. I received my Master's in Instruction and Leadership from Granite State College.
Education was not my first career but definitely my last. I began as a substitute teacher and paraeductor before deciding to go back to school to become a teacher.
When I am not at school, I enjoy reading and crafting. I enjoy making things with my hands. I love to knit, make homemade cards, and bake.
My family means the world to me. I have a husband, 3 adult children, a cat, and a dog.
Amanda Huber
I have been working here at D. J. Bakie School for 20 years. I have my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Prior to working here I taught Kindergarten for 3 years and was the Assistant Director at a daycare. Reading is truly a passion for me. I have always loved to read and reading at home with my children daily when they were younger was the best part of my day. I enjoy spending my free time with my family and friends. I have a wonderful husband and 3 children. Shayla my stepdaughter is 30 years old, Daniel my son is 15 years old and my daughter Elizabeth is 12 years old. We love to be outside enjoying nature, riding four wheelers, swimming, snowmobiling and sledding. On Sunday mornings you can find me at my church teaching Sunday School.
Taylor Libby
My name is Taylor Libby. I graduated from Franklin Pierce University with a degree in Elementary Education and American Studies. While I was a Franklin Pierce, I was also a member of the field hockey team. I have worked in the district since 2018. I had the privilege of spending two years at D.J Bakie School before moving to Memorial School. Prior to working at D.J Bakie School, I taught second grade for one year. I also spent two years in behavior programs at the elementary and middle school levels. I have loved math since I was a little girl. Part of that love comes from time well spent with my late grandfather doing homework after school when I was young. When I’m not at school I’m busy coaching field hockey. I love spending time with friends and family outside of work. I’m from a small town in Central Maine and I get back home whenever possible to visit family and enjoy all the outdoor activities Maine has to offer.

I am currently working toward my Masters in Education and taking my Praxis exams to become a licensed teacher. I love reading, you can always find me reading with my group of students! When I am not at school, I am playing with my puppy, planning my upcoming wedding, or working as the program director of my summer camp!
