1. Spread shaving cream on a flat surface. Write different letters (big) in the shaving cream calling out their names and sounds.

2. Match up capitals and lower case letters. Use games like Go Fish or Memory to reinforce.

3. When reading a story, have the child find words in the text and point to them.

4. Use letter tiles and have your child read words and make words using the phrases below:

If this says "hat" what would this say? (change the first letter of the word and have the child read it (ex: replace the /h/ in "hat" with a /c/ and the new word is "cat")
