Course Competencies

Reading: Students will examine contemporary and classic British literature through interpretation, analysis, and evaluation extending across genres, cultures and centuries.

Reading Informational Text: Students will read informational text and analyze a complex set of ideas, determine central ideas and use textual evidence to support analysis, integrating multiple sources of information and evaluating historical documents.

Writing: Students will demonstrate their understanding of writing effectively for a variety of purposes and audiences.

Language Students will demonstrate their understanding of language, its usages and transformations through progressing time periods.

Speaking and Listening: Students will demonstrate their understanding of speaking and listening by evaluating and presenting information through various medias.
