Science 6 Assignments & Homework
April 6 - June 9
All work will be posted on Google Classroom for now. Please go to Google Classroom to see and submit the work. Thank you!
HERE’S MY PLEA TO YOU: We will be taking roll every week on Fridays to determine who is participating and who is not. Participation is recorded various ways:
- Attending a Zoom meeting
- Turning in work through Google Classroom
- Emailing a teacher
We want to hear from every student EACH WEEK so we know you understand the opportunity we are providing through this distance learning. If we don’t see a student participating, they will be marked absent for the week, and someone from the school may call to find out where the student is.
My recommendation is for students to join classes and participate regardless of their grades because we don’t want to create learning holes for next year. Teachers are working diligently to provide learning opportunities, and YOU don't want be lost next year in 7th grade.

3/17 Time to make some observations. Take a walk outside and see if you can find a shamrock or a 3-leaf clover. Do you remember the difference between qualitative and quantitative observations?
3/18 Remember making your storms slideshow. What are the safety precautions for thunderstorms, hurricanes, and tornadoes?
3/19 From the worksheet "What Causes Climate?" what are the main factors that influence temperature?
3/20 Also from "What Causes Climate?" what are the main three factors that affect precipitation?
This week we focused on reviewing previous topics. Beginning Monday, I will be posting new assignments for us to continue our learning adventure. As of now, these will not be graded but are an opportunity for you to learn and grow your knowledge.
