Classwork assignments are given daily either online using Amplify Desmos Math or with paper. Assignments are done in their notebooks and/or on their computers and typically are done by the end of the period. Assignments may be turned in, submitted online, or students may be asked to keep them in their notebooks. Students must show all their work and attempt to complete all problems to receive credit.
Students should write the assignments in their Lewis planner daily. Students should refer to their notes nightly when doing their assignments. Students are required to complete any unfinished work at home (if not already completed during classwork time).
Student work is returned daily (in most cases) and a point value on the assignment indicates the student received credit or the teacher will make a note on the assignment to indicate if there was a problem. Students may redo assignments for full credit by making corrections to only the work that has errors.
Any student who does not turn in an assignment on the day it was due may still turn in the assignment for full credit if it is before the end of the Semester grading period. Parents are encouraged to check assignments on their child’s Google classroom and look over graded work in Amplify with teacher comments. If your child has any issues/problems accessing online assignments or projects at home, please contact me directly so that I can make needed accommodations.
