Overview

Welcome to Mr. Santana's class!  This year I am teaching Accelerated 7 and Math 8 in Bungalow 323.  This is my 24th year teaching in San Diego Unified.  My first year of teaching I taught 4th grade at Sherman Elementary.  After that, I taught 4 years at Horace Mann Middle School.  It is there that I found my passion for teaching math.  This is my 19th year teaching math at Lewis and I hope to retire from here.  I truly believe I was meant to teach.  

When I am not busy teaching math, I can most likely be found outdoors, probably walking my dogs Levi and Luca with my wife.  I love being active whether that is cycling, running (I have been fortunate enough to run 12 marathons (Boston twice!!)), taking a group class at the YMCA, playing a sport, or coaching baseball at Granite Hills High School.  This past summer I continued my  love for golfing.  Who knew hitting a stationary ball could be so difficult?!
