Summer Homework

1. LOOK AT PAST AP PORTFOLIO’S: THIS WILL HELP YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT THE JUDGES ARE LOOKING FOR.. Make sure you read the rational for why each artist received the score that they did. Pay particular attention to Sustained investigation study/ Concentration topics and execution

2. BEGIN THINKING ABOUT YOUR CONCENTRATION/ SUSTAINED INVESTIGATION: what will your focus be? Often times the best answer is to choose something that really interests you as an artist. Try not to over complicate it. I will include a long list of possible options, and some clearer directions of what you will need to do for your concentration. Read over it carefully! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CHOOSE FROM THE LIST. The clearer an idea you have for your concentration section in September, the easier this process will be. FILL 5-10 PAGES OF YOUR SKETCHBOOK WITH ROUGH IDEAS OF HOW YOU MIGHT APPROACH YOUR AREA OF CONCENTRATION
