Library Policies

Weekly Circulation

• Kindergarten, first grade, and second grade students will be borrowing 1 book during each 4 day cycle.

• Third and fourth grade students will borrow 2 books during each 4 day cycle.

• Students may only borrow a new book when the previous book is returned.

• Students are permitted to renew books.

Overdues/Missing Books

There is no fee for overdue materials.

If a student loses a book/media center material or damages a book beyond repair, the parent must send a check to me so I can purchase a replacement copy. I will send home overdue notices for books that have been out for more than 2 weeks. If you are aware that your child has lost or damaged a book, please tell them to speak to me or call me directly so the book can be paid for and your child can continue borrowing books from the library.

If a student finds a book/media center material after paying for it, and the replacement material has not already been purchased, the student can return it and be reimbursed. If a book is damaged or lost, please contact me so that we can discuss the replacement of the book.
