We will be enjoying a variety of Christmas stories and articles: The Legend of the Christmas Tree Ship, The Legend of Old Befana, The Carpenter's Gift, and Christmas Around the World!!
Reading Skills: oral reading, comprehension, vocabulary
Spelling words we are working on in Unit 3 this week are as follows:
No Spelling Words this week. We will have spelling words the week we come back from Christmas Break!!
Math skills for this week:
solve addition and subtraction story problems, attend to precision, utilize multiplication and division strategies to answer story problems, utilize the strategy of equal groups to complete division story problems, and write standard numbers through the hundred thousands in expanded notation
Religion:
explain the Jesse tree and the meaning of the symbols on it, appreciate more fully God's love in giving his Son, Jesus, to be the Savior of the world, appreciate more fully God's love in giving his Son, Jesus, to be the Savior of the world, and identify the significance of the creche and the tradition behind it
