Reading Skills:
We will be continuing Unit 2 in our CKLA Reading Series this week! We will be focusing on Animal Classification; The following reading skills will be addressed: oral reading, comprehension, vocabulary, comparing and contrasting, main idea a supporting details, writing an informative piece based on characteristics of mammals, utilizing text features to find information, and adding changing the y to i and adding es to spelling words to make them plural
Spelling words we are working on in Unit 2 this week are as follows: changing the y to i and adding es to make words plural
puppy, penny, study, carry, butterfly, lady, bunny, dry, hurry, marry, along, put
We will be having a test on these words on Friday - November 7th
Math skills for this week:
solve multiplication story problems with products to 100 involving situations of equal groups, arrays and measurement, identify patterns among basic multiplication facts, use and explain skip counting to demonstrate an understanding of multiplication, solve for the unknown in a multiplication equation involving 3 whole numbers, fluently multiply with products to 100 using strategies, write story problems or describe problem situations to match a multiplication expression or equation, and utilize ratio tables to solve problems
Religion:
identifying the life and accomplishments of St. Clare, identify ways they can see the world as Jesus would, name ways that they can see the world as Jesus would, identify the story of the Announciation relate Mary's yes to God's call to their own response to God, describe Mary's message about the Rosary at Fatima, explain the significance of the beads of a Rosary
