Sight Words

Words will be sent via remind on Friday before that week.

Put each word on an index card.Study all words daily. This will prepare your child for kindergarten. We work with words all week. Soon, children will read simple sentences and be able to write each word.

If your child is not feeling well (stomach ache, coughing, uncomfortable from bad allergies, fever, throwing up, didn't sleep well the night before, etc., please keep your child home.

If your child was throwing up or has a fever, they should be 24 hours without symptoms to come back to school. 

Our schedule is slightly different from

the big school. Half days or Days off will be announced in advance, usually via Remind! It is very important to sign up for this communication tool asap.

-It is recommended that the children wear the St. Charles gym uniform to make it easier for all. Comfortable shoes should be worn! We go outside to play if weather permits, so dress your child accordingly.

Ask your child each day what he/she learned in school.

Please label everything with your child's name, especially clothing.

We are writing our first names names each day. Practice at home too.

Folders come back to school each day.

Folders need to be emptied each day.

Marble notebooks are sent home on Monday and need to be returned on Friday completed. 

You can send me messages on remind Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30 pm.

Please don't send messages before 7am, after 3:30, and on weekends.

If your child is absent, send in an absence note on return. If absent 3 or more days, a doctor's note is needed to come back.

If you need to pick up your child early, send me a note and call the office.

If you are picking up a sibling for a half day, send a note and call office. Then pick up at my door at 11:10.

If you are picking up early for any other reason, you will go to the front entrance on Penn Ave.
