Each student will do each day’s lesson on a sheet of lined or graph paper. Each student is responsible for their own work! YOU are graded on what YOU put on paper, even though you will be discussing problems with your teammates.
All CW must be done in pencil.
Your NAME and the LESSON NUMBER should be legible in the upper right corner of every piece of paper you turn in.
Label each problem clearly and show your work.
Class work is due at the end of class. If you need the same paper again the next day, Ms. Bowyer will pass it back to you.
Each class work assignment is worth 4 points. You get all 4 points if you have completed all of the problems that were assigned in class.
If you are absent for 3 DAYS OR LESS, you will not be required to make up class work.
If you are absent for MORE THAN 3 DAYS, you will be expected to make up class work.
Homework will be assigned almost every day (including weekends), except on test days. This regular routine of daily15 minutes of practice will enable you to remember more throughout the entire school year! No more “cramming” for semester math exams if you show up each day and simply do your job.
Note: homework SHOULD only take about 15-20 minutes to complete. If your homework regularly takes longer than this, please talk to Ms. Bowyer!
All HW must be done in pencil.
Your NAME and the LESSON NUMBER should be legible in the upper right corner of every piece of paper you turn in.
Show all calculations and work even if you do it in your head or on a calculator. The process is more important than the product this year.
Homework is turned in using Google Classroom - you will take a picture of your work and upload it to the assignment. You may bring papers to class if needed.
Each homework assignment is worth 10 points. You get all 10 points if you have attempted every assigned problem, even if you do not get the right answer.
You can get full credit for homework up to 1 week late. After a week, homework will be worth half credit. After the end of the chapter, Ms. Bowyer will delete the assignments from Google Classroom and you will not be able to turn them in for credit anymore.
Late assignments can be turned in up to 1 week late for full credit.
After 1 week, they will earn half credit.
After the end of each chapter, the assignments will be deleted and cannot be made up!
