We decided to take a weekend camping in Kangaroo valley and trying out the winding road nearby.
Setting off on Saturday 10th April
The route we took - about 400 kms :
We had planned to take in more roads including the Royal National park, but Jake (the cat) looked ill in the morning and was not eating so we had to get him to the vet for an anti-biotic injection and so we left late. Then Pam ran out of fuel on the freeway - I had misjudged the tiny tank RaLFie has and so I had to turn back and rescue her, syphoning fuel from Redstripe. We were 5 Kms short of where I had planned to refuel.
We stopped for lunch at a wonderful lookout over Wollongong - Pam was worried about her hair style :
From then it was freeway riding for a while and then a stop off at Berry to look at the interesting shops. After that we wound up the hill and back down into Kangeroo valley.
Here is Pam handling the winding road.
We camped at Beendela - a huge "bush" camp site. On the banks of the river.
These were our views in the morning :
And after zooming back via Appin for lunch, we got home at 3pm. Tired but fulfilled.
