About your Teachers

Here is a little background information about your teachers:

Mrs. Bischoff is married and has two boys. They spend many hours at ice hockey rinks playing hockey. The boys both play travel hockey and with doing that, they have traveled all over competing in tournaments. Mrs. Bischoff owns her own salon in Bellport Village for over 20 years. She is able to bring her knowledge of salon business and management into the classroom. It also allows her to share her stories and her experiences of being in the business in actual real life situations. On her time off she attends classes to further enhance her skills in Cosmetology. At times she is able to allow students to come to her salon and get some on the job training, this way the students feel more comfortable in the work atmosphere.

Ms. Destler TA has a 19 year old daughter that she loves spending time with and keeps her busy running around! Ms. Destler has been a practicing Cosmetologist for 30 yrs. After working in a salon for many years, she fulfilled her wish of becoming an educator. On her time off, she takes classes to further her education in the field. This position allows for her to share her knowledge and still run a small business from home.
