Mark Your Calendars to Attend Our November 22 Sacramento TDOR Candlelight Vigil!
Meeting format
We meet at 7:00 pm with PFLAG Sacramento for announcements then split into a confidential gender support group meeting where each person can give a review of where they are and what has happened in the last month.
Must I be a member to attend?
No. Guests are always welcomed. You do not even need to know a regular.
Is there a dress code?
Dress in the attire in which you are most comfortable. Many of those attending our meetings come dressed in the gender of their choice or change clothes when they arrive.
Can I bring family, spouse or friends?
Yes. We encourage their attendance. This helps them better understand your feelings. Their acceptance may, in turn, help others understand their friend’s transition.
Will I feel out of place because of my age?
NO. Our group is made up of people of all ages. Most are between twenty and sixty but teens and seniors are not uncommon.
Where else can I meet other trans youth?
See Sacramento Area Rainbow Kids (ages 4-18) and the Gender Health Center for trans youth group meetings.
Membership costs?
Our group is not a membership organization and there is no charge to attend. Attendees may offer a voluntary donation to help defray the costs of meeting supplies and special events.
Any special events?
Occasionally we will have a speaker do a presentation for us. At these events a small donation may be requested to help defray the presenter’s expenses.
Our group meets at 7:00 pm on the third Tuesday of every month together with PFLAG/TransFamilies Sacramento.

Who founded our group?
Rev. Chadwick K. Pifer (d. May 29, 2009) founded our group in 1999 when it met at the Metropolitan Community Church at Mather Field. With the closure of that facility in May 2008, the group meetings moved to Sutter Medical Center Sacramento.
In May 2018 we merged support groups and meet concurrently with PFLAG/TransFamilies Sacramento.
