Education

BA in Elementary Education & Spanish teaching from the University of Northern Iowa, 2005. Reading Endorsement from Viterbo University, 2011. Masters of Education from Viterbo, 2012.

Personal Information

I am so excited to be teaching fifth grade. I have a passion for teaching and learning, and I hope to inspire my students to also become lifelong learners. Each year is a whole new adventure!

This is my fifteenth year at South Tama. Before I became a fifth grade teacher, I was the Spanish teacher here at South Tama along with various other positions including sixth grade literacy, Read 180, literacy interventionist, and co-teaching math and reading. I am a class of 2001 South Tama graduate. My husband, Levi, and I live south of Tama with our daughters, Livia and Kiya.

Educación

Licenciatura en educación primaria y enseñanza de español de la Universidad del Norte de Iowa en el 2005. Licenciatura en lectura de la Universidad de Viterbo en el 2011. Actualmente estoy tratando de sacar mi maestría en Viterbo.

Información personal

Estoy muy emocionada de enseñar quinto grado este año. Tengo muchas ganas de conectarme con mis estudiantes. Tengo una pasión por la enseñanza y el aprendizaje, y espero inspirar a mis estudiantes para que también se conviertan en aprendices de por vida.

Este es mi decimoquinto año en las escuelas de South Tama. Durante ocho años fui maestra de español aquí en South Tama junto con varios otros puestos que incluyen literatura de sexto grado, Read 180, aprendizaje intervencionista y maestra en conjunto de matemáticas y lectura. Me gradué en el 2001 de la preparatoria de South Tama. Mi esposo, Levi, y yo vivimos al sur de Tama con nuestras hijas, Livia y Kiya.
