This periodic table was inspired by Ed Escudero and contains patterns/hints for the nomenclature of polyatomic ions. There were a few things lacking on his table so I spent a few days in the summer of 2012 recreating it with my updates. He gets full credit for the idea and for teaching me the pattern, I get credit for the work on this image as it is all mine [Note: I am aware of one mistake and will upload a corrected version as soon as possible, the error is the Greek prefix "quad-" which is rarely used [Uuq #114] and instead "tetra-" is used].
Maintaining a Lab Notebook Article (external link)
This is a great article that I stumbled across sometime last school year. It impressed me because it laid out details for something that is expected in industry and most universities (as well as in many high school courses), but is never really explained all that well. Furthermore, the article impressed be because he turned his lab notebook into a quick experiment- what writing instrument holds up best against common spills and hazards in the lab? I'm proud to say that the Pilot G-2 pens I love are among the best.
