Room 113

Expectations

I would like to welcome you to Roosevelt Elementary School. My name is Mrs. Paap, and I am a second grade teacher here.

Your child’s education is very important. If you become aware of any difficulties your child is having please contact me so that we can resolve the problem. Also if your child has any special needs including vision, hearing, medical, or allergies let me know so that I can make appropriate adjustments in a confidential manner.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. You can do ClassDojo call, make an appointment to stop in, or email me so that we can work together on making this a successful year for your student. Email or texting are the best method, and you can reach me at kathleen.paap@rusd.org.

Grading Policy:

We have gone to a four point rubric in Common Core Standards

BEHAVIOR

The policy in my class is that every child has a right to an education. I will try to eliminate any distractions or problems that interfere with your child’s learning. If a student is not following class or school rules I will deal with the student on a one to one basis. If the problem continues the parent/guardian will be notified, a detention may be implemented, or the student may be sent to the office depending on how severe the behavior is.

Our Morning Mantra

I am me!

And there is nobody else like me!

I will try to be…

Respectful

Responsible

and Safe

While I look, listen, and learn

Yesterday was the past.

Tomorrow is not promised.

Today is the present-

So I will treat it like a gift!
