When an article is resupplied and metadata have been changed from the original article (i.e., license type, funding, etc.), you need to trigger a resend to the OA Switchboard. After you update the metadata on the JPS Summary tab and after you publish the resupply, go to the Tasks tab in JPS and click "Advanced Manuscript Tasks." Then click "Send Updated Metadata to OAS."

Always keep the archive up to date. When retrieving files, always get them from the Current archive and then update the article files there with your new file(s). You must update the archive even if the article is semi-recent; if the issue exists in our archive, you must update the files.

We left SJS at the very end of 2021. TNQ does not have any files at all for articles published before January 2022.

1) Articles <5 years old:

a) For articles published before August 2023, make the changes yourself, upload and publish the article, and update the archive with your new file(s). If the change is too complicated to make yourself, retrieve the files from the archive and place them on Dropbox for TNQ to use. An outside contractor updated all of our articles to meet Silverchair's requirements. The last mass conversion was done in the summer of 2023. Thus, TNQ does not have the final files for articles published before August 2023.

b) We moved from Glencoe to Cadmore at the end of 2025. An XML conversion was done for existing articles with videos, and the archive was updated in April 2026. For articles published before April 2026 that contain videos, you must supply TNQ with the XML file.

 2) Articles >5 years old: We will simply run a correction. If there are extreme circumstances that you or an editor feel warrant an update, please talk to Rob before proceeding. 

Update the JPS record with the corrected article XML (i.e., Silverchair XML). It's a good idea to create a sticky note in the JPS record explaining that the latest version of the XML is SC JATS and the second to last version is the JPS XML. Update the archive with your new file.
