Freeport High School - Daily Announcements

Thursday, March 30, 2017  White Day

New Today

Please donate to the Jimmy Fund

For those who have passed from cancer, for those currently battling the various forms of the disease, and for those who will contract it in the future, organizations such as the Jimmy Fund raise money to fund research to help rid the world of this deadly disease.  The students and faculty have always supported organizations that try to make the world a better, safer place.  Please help the Jimmy Fund's program called "Rally for the Jimmy Fund" by wearing Boston Red Sox gear (or any gear, for that matter) on Opening Day, Monday April 3rd.  Please donate $1.00 or more to students who will be by the doors at the start of the day as well as in the halls and near the cafeteria during lunch.

Thank you.

Rally Captain Bill Holt

A representative from the University of Prince Edward Island will be visiting FHS on Friday, April 7th @ 11:00 in the Guidance Office.  Please sign up in the Guidance Office if you are interested in meeting the representative if you have not already done so.

2018 Class Dues:

It’s that time of year! If you haven’t yet, please send in your class dues ASAP.  We are asking each family to contribute what you can with the hopes to reduce the need for multiple small fundraising events. We would like to have the majority of the funds needed by September 2017.  We all know that our students’ senior year will be filled with many additional demands of our time as we help them prepare for their post-high school life, and we would like to avoid having the additional burden of fundraising during this time.

Please make checks payable to RSU5 FHS Class of 2018. Please put your student's name in the memo line.  Checks can be mailed to the FHS school office class of 2018 or dropped at the office by you or your child.

If you are not already on the email list for Class of 2018 news, please

send your email address  to Kim Burke at dandyjosh@comcast.net
