Open Book Exchange

The RCS Library Media Center has an open book exchange policy. Elementary students are welcome to exchange their library books without waiting for their regularly scheduled library visit. Students may come to the library during the open book exchange hours:

M-F: 8:00-8:50 and 2:18-3:00

Students in grades 7-12 are also encouraged to check out books during the morning time slot, between classes, or may obtain a pre-signed pass to visit the library during a study hall.

Checking Out Materials

• • PreK- Grade 1: 1 book – 1 week

  • Grades 2- 6: 2 books – 1 week

  • Grades 7-12: 3 books – 2 weeks

  • A book may be renewed up to three times unless there is a hold on the title.

  • All patrons are required to pay for any damaged or lost library materials.
