Purpose:
The purpose of the Ambassador program is to provide a leadership opportunity for students to develop professional skills while serving Cedar Ridge High School in an honorary position that builds relationships with students, families, other schools, and our community members.
Become the voice of the Academies at Cedar Ridge at events by becoming an Academy Ambassador. You will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills, become a mentor to new academy students, and play a major role in the way we do things here at Cedar Ridge. Plus, you’ll participate in special marketing and public relations projects, all of which will make you highly marketable.
Roles, Responsibilities and Expectations:
Academy ambassadors help to build bridges within the Cedar Ridge community and school feeder pattern. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
· Giving campus tours to various groups.
· Representing the Academies at Cedar Ridge at different events.
· Promoting and increasing involvement in events and opportunities.
· Presenting to students (elementary, middle school, and high school), parents, and community members.
Benefits to being an Academy Ambassador:
Academy students will benefit greatly from their participation in the ambassador program. Training and actual experience provides opportunities to develop communication, organizational, public speaking and problem-solving skills. Community outreach will develop a sense of contributing to the community as well as personal and professional satisfaction in efforts to promote the Academies at Cedar Ridge. Opportunities for campus and community exposure help make the ambassadors some of the most visible and well known students on campus. Students will also be able to enhance their resume as a direct involvement in the Academy Ambassador program.
