About the Teacher
Welcome to my web site. I look forward to working with student to help them explore the exciting field of health care. My educational experience includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman’s University and a Masters in Business Administration specializing in Healthcare Administration. the majority of my professional experience comes from a 35 year career with the outstanding Baylor Health Care System in Dallas, Texas. I have clinical experience based in critical care and nursing administration. In the 1980’s, I helped establish Baylor’s network of community hospitals that today includes a network of 27 hospitals and services. As part of that experience, I supervised every clinical hospital department in the hospitals. My later assignments included developing and administering an innovative network of interdisciplinary primary care physician office for persons 65 and above, Baylor Senior Health Network. My last 3 years, I worked as a liaison between the Baptist General Convention of Texas and Baylor focusing on disaster relief and international medical missions.This is my eighth year teaching at McNeil. I am excited to share the many experiences as a nurse and administrator with students. I am passionate about health care and welcome the opportunity to help students explore opportunities for their future.
