Our Purpose:

Every day we will have Advisory class. We use the "Huddle" concept. Consider the purpose of a huddle in football. We bond as a team, receive instruction and direction. We are there for each other and support each other. The success of all is dependent on the success of our huddle family!

The purpose of this class is to build relationships with students, help them navigate the middle school experience, manage their academics, and build social/peer skills. Along with relationship building, we also will be providing reading intervention during this time in a small group format.

Reading Skills/Technology Intervention Program-You will be working on the iLit program to help improve your individual reading skills.

Silent Sustained Reading- You will be reading silently independently and working on book projects and book studies on self-selected books.

As a class we will build on our social/peer skills. We will learn many things to help us navigate the world around us and build on our social skills. These activities will be exciting and we will be motivated by beginning to learn about ourselves and each other.
