Hello!

My name is Nancy Mullen and I am super excited to be starting my 6th year at Deerpark Middle School as a 7th grade Applied Math teacher and Inclusion Support Specialist. I am super excited this year to moving up to 8th grade to teach the students I had as 7th graders! I love coming to work each day because I love what I do, and I love working with our great students, supportive parents and our tremendously talented and hard-working team of teachers and staff!

I am a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a BA in Speech Communication. Prior to teaching, I was an Adult Trainer and also a stay-at-home mom for my two beautiful daughters.

I have been married for 29 years to my amazing husband, Dan. He retired from IBM after 22 years and continues to work as a software engineer. As mentioned above, we are the proud parents of two wonderful daughters. My oldest daughter is a graduate from Texas State University and works as a Graphic Designer. My younger daughter graduated from Texas A&M in May 2020 and is currently working in Austin as an Administrative Assistant.

I am excited to get to know my students and all their families this year. It will be a year full of learning and challenge and GROWTH as we return to campus IN PERSON!

I work hard to help students succeed and to grow and I ALWAYS welcome feedback with any questions or concerns you may have. I believe that communcation and collaboration is the KEY to helping students reach their fullest potential!
