Math Curriculum

Our Math curriculum is centered around problem solving. We want our students to be prepared to solve the “math problems” that occur in everyday life.   We are focused on helping to guide our students to discover answers to math problems using different strategies.  All of our standards are created by the Texas Education Agency.  The TEKS, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, are strategically ordered by our Round Rock ISD curriculum department in our scope and sequence.  Our fifth grade math teachers use the ARRC, Aligned Round Rock Curriculum, to plan our instruction for our students.

· IXL Math

· Games and activities

IXL Math is a great way for your child to experience math at her/his own level.  The software uses your child's responses to create a unique pathway to meet the needs of each learner.  Teachers use the data collected to drive future instruction and can individually assign lessons to reinforce a mathematical concept too!  If your child is using IXL at home, please encourage your child to use the tools on the program independently.
