Grading Policy

Because math intervention measures progress for success, the grading policy places emphasis on participation over mastery.

•40% Class work and Daily Activities

•50% Levels of Functioning (see below)

•10% Quizzes

Levels of Functioning Grades


Leader 98-100

A leader is a role model that completes assignments, comes to class on time, is prepared, asks and answers questions and goes above and beyond.


Contributor 90-97

A contributor completes assignments, comes to class on time, is prepared, and asks and answers questions.


Participant 80-89

A participant completes assignments, is prepared, comes to class on time, and meets minimum requirements for class.


Observer 70-79

An observer is present but not an active part of class. They aren't prepared, sometimes tardy, and makes occasional distracting remarks.


Distractor less than 70

A distractor keeps others from learning.
