The Round Rock ISD Teen Parent Program is a comprehensive program designed to help pregnant and/or parenting students successfully graduate from high school and work toward post-secondary education.
RRISD Child Development Centers
Round Rock ISD has two full-time, licensed child development centers (CDCs) for teen parents to use while they are in school. Students pay no fees for child care services, but they are expected to attend and pass their classes in order to be eligible for child care.
The school counselor may be emailed if a parent or teacher is concerned about the emotional well-being of a child. In some situations, community authorities need to be contacted. If child abuse or neglect is suspected, it is the law for the concern to be reported. Click here to learn how reports can be made.

The award-winning Teen Health & Wellness provides middle and high school students with up-to-date, nonjudgmental, straightforward curricular, and self-help support. Articles are correlated to state, national, and provincial standards. Topics covered include diseases, drugs, alcohol, nutrition, mental health, suicide, bullying, LGBTQ+ issues, and more.
The Texas Youth Helpline provides free and confidential services to youth, their parents, and other family members of youth in crisis who need help finding a counselor, safe shelter, legal information, other local referral information, or just someone to talk to.

Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) are traumatic experiences from abuse, neglect, and household dysfunction. Toxic Stress is extreme, frequent, or extended activation of the body's stress response without supportive relationships. This impacts our neurology, our biology and can alter the course of childhood development. Did you know that toxic stress can also have damaging effects on learning, behavior, and health far into adulthood? We can do more to support our community during adverse situations by learning more about NEAR (Neuroscience, Epigenetics, ACEs and Resilience) sciences and how to mitigate the impact of ACEs while building resiliency across our own lifespans and those of the next generation.
