Mrs. Lowin is from Round Rock, Texas where she began dancing at three years old. Her dance career has consisted of training at the studio level as a member of Rise Dance Company, here at Cedar Ridge High School where she was involved in the dance department and in Royalty Leadership, and at the collegiate level where she has developed her knowledge and skill in dance. A major component of Mrs. Lowin’s dance and teaching experience has been working for Crowd Pleasers Dance, where she has grown a passion for leadership development, innovation in choreography, and making the learning experience FUN!
Mrs. Lowin obtained a B.A. Dance degree and minor in Education from Texas Tech University. During her time at Tech, she has taken on numerous leadership opportunities, studied under the Texas Tech Pom coach, Erin Alvarado, and had her choreography selected for adjudication at American College Dance Association. As part of her degree, she taught at multiple public schools in Lubbock, where her passion for education bloomed. Amanda began teaching at Cedar Ridge in 2023 as the Assistant Director of Royalty and Nobility Dance Teams, and as a teacher for Jazz 1, Dance 2-4, and Jazz 3/4. In 2024, she became the Director of Nobility Dance Team and continues to teach clases in our Jazz, Modern, and Dance departments. Every time Amanda teaches, she hopes that all of her students feel empowered to achieve big goals, grow in confidence and skill, and leave feeling fired up to do it all over again. She is honored to be part of the Cedar Ridge family!
