About Me

Greetings and welcome back!! I am excited that we will be welcoming everyone into our brand new learning space this year!

This will be my 19th year in public education, and my 7th here at CD Fulkes. Over the years I have taught a variety of different classes in the mathematics and social studies fields. This year I will also be teaching a computer science class that has me very excited. I also coached high school football and baseball for 10 years. Teaching has always been in my family history. My mother taught at the same school for 41 years.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Southwestern University in '01 and my Masters of Science in Economics from Baylor University in '03. Most of my college education dealt with the use of applied mathematics, so I feel that I can bring a perspective on how mathematics can be used outside of a middle school math classroom.

I am the proud father of two children, a sophomore at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor and a sophomore at Stony Point High School. I enjoy reading (you can view my current reading list on this site), watching movies, and learning about computer science and robotics. I am an avid sports fan (SF Giants, Dallas Stars, SF 49ers) and spend a lot of my free time attending and watching sporting events.

I am looking forward to this year at CD Fulkes in our new building, teaching your students.
