Team 888

We have been Team 888, the Glenelg Robotiators (Robot-Gladiators) for over 20 years. Throughout our teams history, we have built more than just robots; we have made friendships that will last a lifetime and built character that will prepare our members for adult life. Each season brings out the passion and creativity out all of our students. The team works together on designing, prototyping, programming, and assembling a robot. Dean Sheridan started Glenelg's robotics back in 2002 as a class for school, later turning into an after school club. Our team provides students with the unique opportunities to design and build robots, develop solutions with independence, and work with others to overcome challenges. Last year alone, our team won the Gracious Professionalism Award, an award that is given to the team that exhibits the core values of FIRST. The Engineering Inspiration Award, an award given to the team, that exhibits respect and appreciation for engineering within a school, organization and community. The Judges Award, an award given to a team whose effort, and performance were recognized by the judges.  And we were awardded with the honor of attending the World Championship in Houston Texas. Going forward into FIRST Dive, we hope to push past our limits, and go even farther than in Crescendo.
