Radio 'up in the mountains'

So a change in living arrangements in 2025 has seen me running tandem radio shacks for a while, the main station address remains but with the new radio shack 'up in the mountains' a stones throw from Caradon Hill.  In fact if I was fitted with my own CTCSS and I opened the window I could probably open the repeater just by shouting at it!  Certainly 5 watts from the Yaesu does the trick!

So the new shack has been set up with a nice little Yaesu FT-2600m (bought from Guernsey) alongside the Yaesu FT-707 and of course the ever present and wonderful Yaesu FRG-7700 short wave receiver.

Newly installed aerials comprise the M0CVO - HW-20HP 'Windom' off centre fed wire dipole for HF bands from 14MHz up to 28MHz (it will do 50MHz as well!) and a Sharmans/Diamond X-30 dual band VHF/UHF colinear (white stick vertical) all of which works to pretty good effect here being about 140m asl.
