My Story

Hello everyone and welcome! I am eager to enter my 13th year at Lafayette High School! This school year, I will be teaching Math 8, Consumer Math, Advanced Algebra, and College Algebra. A little background info about me: I was born and raised in Devils Lake, ND to a family of teachers. My mother is a retired Business and Computer teacher in Devils Lake; My father is a retired Economics/Special Education teacher. Following graduation from Devils Lake High School (2010), I completed one year at Lake Region State College in Devils Lake before I transferred to the University of North Dakota. At UND, I completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics with emphasis in Secondary Education (2014). Moreover, I completed my Master of Arts Degree in Education Technology through the University of Concordia-St.Paul (2017). 

Family has and always will be my #1. My beautiful wife Jill and our three amazing children: Gavin (6) and Addilyn (4), and the littlest big dude Casen (16 months). We have been married for 11 years (just over 4100 days if you are curious) now and I am thankful for every minute of those days because she really is our Everything.

It has been confirmed that 60 seconds now feels like 30 seconds. Gavin is almost 7 now and starting First Grade this Fall. Addi will be starting Pre-School (not accepting this as a truth quite yet). Casen is thriving and loving his time with Discovery Place; Also he is now realizing you do not need fear to climb and run anywhere! At the end of the day it is truly incredible, amazing, and gratifying to have the title of "Dad".
