About Me

I came to Riverdale in the fall of 2007 and have enjoyed teaching here since then.  I received both my Bachelors Degree in Physical Education in 1997 from Western Oregon University, and my Master Degree in Health Education / Sports Psychology in 2000.  From there I spent several years Teaching and Coaching at Hillsboro High School and Portland Community College where I served as the Head Women's Basketball Coach.  In 2005 I received my Administrative License from Lewis and Clark College and went on to become the Assistant Principal / Athletic Director for JoLane Middle School in Roseburg, OR.  Since coming to Riverdale I spent the first thirteen years as the district's athletic director before transitioning back to the classroom full time in 2021.  In addition to being a full time teacher I enjoy coaching both JV Volleyball, and Varsity Girls Golf.

I am a proud father of two amazing daughters, Jordan and Jayden.  Both of whom have attended Riverdale since 2007.  My wife Brenda is also  an educator and teaches third grade for the Hillsboro School District.  We enjoy being a part of the Riverdale Community and look forward to seeing you either in the classroom, on the court, or on the golf course some time soon.
