Cross Country and Track

Cross Country is a fall sport that runs (ha!) from August through November.

Practices are after school until 5:30-5:45.

At meets athletes compete in a single race, usually 3000 meters or 5000 meters, but are scored as a team.  The top five runners for each level (varsity, junior varsity) have their finish places added up for a team score.  The lower the score the better we did.  If we had runners finish in 5th, 10th, 20th, 21st, and 30th that would be a team score of 86.

Track is a spring sport running (and jumping and throwing) from March to May.

Practices are either in the morning for sprints, jumps, and throws at Lewis and Clark Track or at the high school for distance events in the afternoon.
