Student Shadowing and Family Tours

During the 2024-25 school year, we have student shadowing available as well as in-person tours for prospective families.  If you are interested in student shadowing and/or a family tour experience of our program, it will be available in November 2024. Application Information: The application window for Choice 1 applicants opens April 7, 2025 and closes on May 2, 2025.  No early or late applications are accepted.

Interviews: Student interviews will take place after the applications are closed. Applicants will be informed of the time of their interviews via email after applications have been completed online and processed. 

SIDI Selection process:  SIDI looks for students interested in problem-solving and exploring innovative ideas that can help our community using topics/fields in science, technology, math and engineering. The criteria used to invite students to be a part of the program include an interview and collaboration activity, a writing sample, grades, teacher recommendations, and test scores. The interview portion of the evaluation is based on a student’s interest in science, technology, engineering and math and commitment to scholastic excellence.  A combination of information about grades, test scores, teacher recommendations, interviews, group activity, and a writing sample evaluates academic ability. Minimum scores of MEETS EXPECTATIONS are required on the SCPASS tests and SC Ready for entrance into the SIDI Magnet program.
