The sixth grade science curriculum, - Purposeful Design - Earth and SpaceScience, assists students in exploring God’s wonders of the universe. The students investigate, research, and learn about the planet Earth which includes minerals, rocks, soil, earthquakes, volcanoes, oceans, and water. Students also explore Earth’s atmosphere, weather and climate. God’s creation of space is investigated. Space includes the study of the solar system, planets, stars, and galaxies. Students investigate space exploration which includes rockets, space probes, satellites, and working in space. Students are assessed through participation, labs, notes, quizzes, homework, projects, presentations, and chapter tests. “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.” Colossians 1:16
