AP Statistics
This course is an introduction to college level statistics. Students can expect the class to be similar to that of a freshman level statistics course. With that being said, the class will be challenging and will require a substantial amount of studying and outside of class, self guided exploration of the curriculum. A student's success will be a direct reflection of the amount of effort dedicated to the material.
Student’s will be exposed to the following themes:
• Exploring Data: Describing patterns and departures from patterns
• Sampling and Experimentation: Planning and conducting a study
• Anticipating Patterns: Exploring random phenomena using probability and simulation
• Statistical Inference: Estimating population parameters and testing hypotheses
